Daguerreotype is by William Kilburn, London, stamped on front of case with his address "By Appointment Mr. Kilburn 234 Regent Street" with two coats of arms between the lettering. He was located here between 1852 and 1855 [Hannavey; 2005]. Later he moved to 222 Regent Street in Westminster, London. Kilburn was known for his high quality service and excellent materials. With a high price as a result.
