Louis Jean-Baptiste Igout: nude study of a standing female, ca. 1875
Louis Jean-Baptiste Igout (1837-1881) made many nude studies for painters and sculptors during his career.
This one is a very strong and fascination pose. Her hair beautifully made up. She stands on a raise covered with blankets. A chair is partly visible in the back.
The unmounted albumen print is in very good condition. Nice 'chocolate brown' color. Numbered in the negative, lower left corner: E. 272.
