An early photo finish!
The cyanotype shows two athletes approaching the finish line. A third runner is a few meters behind with the audience in the background. Several men in costume are standing next to the finish line, observing the race. On the far right, someone is holding a stopwatch. It appears that the chalk lines were drawn by hand.
