A strong and modernistic composition of an ocean steamer.
The aesthetic photo was possibly made by an amateur photographer during the interbellum. The photo clubs in this period were far ahead of their time and experimented with more modern image compositions. The subject also fits into this historical evolution. The modernity of a steamship contrasts with the picturesque subjects that were fashionable at the time.

Mounted in original passe-partout. Gelatine silver print in overall good condition. Little discoloration under the mount, due to age.
