A rare one!
Two men are fooling around before the camera, creating a very unusual portrait. The man embraces the boy, a beautiful but rare gesture in 19th century photography. The cheerful body language between these two people is beautiful to see. The two would have known each other well, father and son maybe? They were likely also quite familiar with the photographer (Pierre Petit), friends or even family.

The CDV shows signs of wear. Otherwise, this unusual and cherished object is in good condition. Photographer's imprint on the verso.
