A rare carte de visite (CdV) of the famous French historic painter Ernest Meissonier (1815-1891).
The albumen print is mounted on the original mount with the typical red border and 'N' of Nadar. Meissonnier [sic.] is written in pencil and fountain pen on the recto and verso.
CdV with address on the back, 35 Boulevart [sic.] des Capucines. Print in overal good condition. Slightly faded due to age. Original retouching visible. Untrimmed card.
