Disderi: an uncut sheet of six CdV of the Desmares family
An uncut sheet of 6 views of 'Desmares' by Andre Adolphe-Eugene Disdéri. Two of a woman, two with a young boy, one with a man and one with all of them together. Probably one family.
This vintage albumen print is in used condition because it comes from the Disdéri archives. This print was for reference. There are two portraits missing, they were probably cut away by the studio of Disdéri. The cuts are also through the cardboard. It's a nice testimonial of the 'making of' a portrait in this famous studio.
ca. 20 x 25 cm
Albumen on cardboard, printed from a wet collodion negative.
ca. 1865
Provenance: collection of Maurice Levert.
