This work is by Belgian photographer Danier Brunemer (born 1955). The photo is from the series "Quartier Nord," about the red-light district around Brussels North Station. A naked prostitute looks through a baroque curtain flanked by two armchairs in the same style. The contrast between the chaotic print on the curtains and the woman's skin is striking.

The gelatine silver print on baryta paper is signed and dated by the photographer on the verso. Photographer's stamp in blue ink.
