A naked woman is posing outside for a painters study. She holds her hand before her face, just like Phryné did in the painting "Phryne avant l'Areopagus" by Jean-Léon Gérôme. Félix Nadar made a very similar portrait in 1861 as a study for the painter.
This albumen print by an unknown maker is housed in an early glass frame, resealed later.
